Northern Alberta Development Council Bursaries

Audience: You may qualify for bursaries if you plan on returning to work in northern Alberta after you graduate from a post?secondary institution.
Sponsored by:  Northern Alberta Development Council
Eligibility:  The Northern Alberta Development Council provides over $800,000 in bursaries to university and college students training for jobs in demand in northern Alberta.  
Value:  Awards range from $500 to $24,000, and you don’t have to repay them if you work in the North after graduating. Some examples include up to $12,000 for final two years of post?secondary, $96,000 for medical students, $48,000 for pharmacy, $54,000 for nurse practitioners, and $16,000 for teachers.
Deadline:  Varies depending on the scholarship you are applying for.

Audience: Graduating grade 12 students of North Eastern Alberta 
Sponsored by:  Mary Ellen Kruger Family 
Eligibility:  Students acquiring education and training to enter into the profession of librarianship.   
Value:  One scholarship of $1,000 
Deadline: October 31
