Students attending the following Northern Lights Public Schools high schools may be eligible for the following awards in their respective schools.

Bonnyville Centralized High School

Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Kissel – English 30-1 BCHS Bursary

Audience: Graduating BCHS English 30 student

Eligibility: Competitive average in English 30-1, 1 One-page essay about yourself and why you should win, and must be attending a post secondary education facility within your high school graduation year.

Eligibility: A student of BCHS pursuing a recognized post secondary program in music or the arts. Priority will be given to those applicants who are pursuing education in music or the arts with the additional intention of teaching in a public school.
Value: One scholarship of $250

Eligibility:  This scholarship is presented to two students, on behalf of the Kyle Alumni Family, whose tuition is paid in full to attend Theatre Alberta’s Arts Trek Camp during the summer.

Duclos Hospital Scholarship

Audience:   BCHS graduating grade 12 students
Sponsored by:  Duclos Hospital Society
Eligibility:  The Duclos Hospital Scholarship of $1,000 for four years is awarded to a Bonnyville Centralized High School graduate who is enrolled in a health related program in college or university.
Value:  $1,000/4 years

Eligibility:  A grade 12 Art 30 student and a grade 12 Drama 30 student, chosen by the teacher of those classes.

Audience: Graduating student of Cold Lake High School

Eligibility: An individual who consistently demonstrates outstanding effort and caring characteristics to make Cold Lake a better place to live and the Cold Lake High School a better place to learn.  Contribution to sport and religious activities will not be considered as qualifying criteria.

Audience: Graduating Plamondon student of either Ecole Plamondon School or Ecole Beausejour.

Eligibility: Students who either themselves or their parents are members of the Plamondon Co?op Ltd. entering a post?secondary program relating to the field of Business. Students are selected based on grade average, a letter of recommendation for school personnel, and an essay.

Eligibility: To qualify for the Grades 9, 10 or 11 scholarship, you must have just completed Grade 9, 10 or 11, be a resident of the Hylo?Venice area and have maintained a minimum grade average of 70% in the 'core'subjects and demonstrate community involvement. To qualify for the Grade 12 scholarship , you must have just completed Grade 12, be a resident of the Hylo?Venice area, hae mainained a minimum grade average of 70% in the 'core' subjects, demonstrated community involvement and have been accepted at a post?secondary institution.

Eligibility: Students who show empathy and compassion to others, are enrolled fulltime n a post?secondary or apprenticeship program – no less than a two year Program, are enrolled in a post secondary study dealing with animal science or animal care, and are in financial need.
