Policy Appendix O: Advocacy Committee

The Advocacy Committee is established as a standing committee of the Board, with responsibilities for work as
detailed below:

  1. Purpose
    1. Coordinate educational advocacy efforts.
  2. Powers and Duties
    1. Make recommendations to the Board regarding advocacy strategies.
    2. Carry out advocacy strategies as directed by the Board.
  3. Membership
    1. Board Chair
    2. Two trustees
    3. Superintendent and/or designate(s)
  4. Meetings
    1. Three meetings annually, with additional meetings as required.
