Policy Appendix O: Advocacy Committee
The Advocacy Committee is established as a standing committee of the Board, with responsibilities for work as
detailed below:
- Purpose
- Coordinate educational advocacy efforts.
- Powers and Duties
- Make recommendations to the Board regarding advocacy strategies.
- Carry out advocacy strategies as directed by the Board.
- Membership
- Board Chair
- Two trustees
- Superintendent and/or designate(s)
- Meetings
- Three meetings annually, with additional meetings as required.
