Question: What does an educational assistant do?
Answer: Educational Assistants (EAs) assist teachers with many instructional and non-instructional tasks in the classroom and with other school activities. EAs work as members of the school and student support team, in order to provide students with an optimal learning environment in which to achieve their highest potential. This work is most rewarding for those who enjoy working with people (especially physically, emotionally and behaviorally challenged children), having clear rules and guidelines for their work, and finding innovative ways to handle situations.
