Policy Appendix M: Policy Committee

The Policy Committee is established as a standing committee of the Board, with responsibility for work as detailed below:

  1. Purpose
    1. Review Board Policy 8 appendices annually to ensure they remain current.
    2. Develop policy as directed by the Board.
    3. Review policy as specified in Policy 10 - Policy Making
    4. Ensure that relevant policy is brought to the Board for review as required.
  2. Powers and Duties
    1. Draft new policy as per Board direction.
    2. Bring forward any recommended changes to current policies.
    3. Ensure Policy 10 – Policy Making alignment.
  3. Membership
    1. Minimum of three (3) trustees.
    2. Superintendent and/or designate(s).
  4. Meetings
    1. As required with a minimum 2 (two) times annually.
