Policy Appendix E: Communications and Recognition Committee
The Communications and Recognition Committee is established as a standing committee of the Board, with responsibilities for work as detailed below:
- Purpose
- To enhance internal and external communications and stakeholder recognition
- Powers and Duties
- Develop a Board Public Relations plan for Board approval and make budget recommendations to facilitate implementation.
- Review the division’s annual Communications Plan.
- Develop a recognition plan and appropriate operating budget.
- Organize and plan recognition activities.
- Membership
- Board chair and minimum of one trustee from each region.
- Superintendent and/or designate(s)
- Meetings
- Called in a timely manner by the Committee Chair or Administration.
