Purpose and Nature of the Scholarship
The scholarship is presented by XEROX Corporation to recognize and encourage students pursuing a certificate or degree in the field of business. XEROX believes that education has the power to open minds, spur innovation, enable health and prosperity, and drive life-enhancing technological breakthroughs. Our belief in education complements our belief in the power of information technology. IT has greatly increased our ability to communicate, advanced the way we live and work, and has fostered a global community. It is a critical factor in Xerox Canada’s economic and social well being. In recognition of these beliefs, XEROX offers qualified students an opportunity to enhance their educational access to recognized Business and Entrepreneurship type programs by offering the following scholarship award:
- a cash award of $1,000
- a suitable certificate
Priority will be given to those applicants who are pursuing educational opportunities with the intent of returning to their home community to establish a local business or enterprise.
