Recognizing 1,610 years of service

Northern Lights Public Schools is celebrating staff milestones this month, recognizing over 1,610 years of service contributed by 111 staff throughout the division.

“We are very fortunate to have staff that have dedicated their careers to serving our students and our schools,” said Board Chair Karen Packard. “We celebrate years of service, but that represents so much more than just time passing. It is countless hours of supporting students, collaborating with parents, continually learning new things, and helping to build welcoming, engaging learning communities. We are grateful for all of the different ways our staff make NLPS a great place to work, learn, and grow.”

This year, three NLPS staff are celebrating milestones of 35 years or more with the school division. Fedosia Alagoz from Ecole Plamondon School is celebrating 40 years with NLPS. Janine Veale from Cold Lake High School and Leona Cardinal from Kikino School are both celebrating 35-year milestones.

Trustees are visiting schools in June to present staff who have reached milestones with the division with certificates and gifts in recognition of their years of service to the division.
