A Fresh Start: Nurturing a Healthy Lifestyle in January

Greetings, wonderful parents and students!

In January we embarked on a journey of well-being tailored just for you. This month's theme was all about embracing a Healthy Lifestyle – making smart choices, staying active, and ensuring restful sleep. Join us as we dive into fun and accessible ways to nurture your health and happiness. Mrs. Webb will be reading these books with the K-4 classes, so please feel free to watch the YouTube Read Alouds with your families to help further discussions at home:

The 5/6 class will explore why sleep is so important for adolescent development. Students will complete a sleep hygiene checklist to determine if they currently have a healthy sleeping routine and if not, brainstorm ideas together on how to promote a restful night.

The grade 7/8 class will be using their Writer’s Notebooks to answer journal prompts on what a healthy lifestyle means to them.
