THEME: Kindness

Embracing the Power of Kindness: A Heartfelt Journey

As February has arrived, it is a month we hope will be filled with love and warmth: Though the weather we had been having in January is here in February, brrrr. At BOS we are hoping the warmer weather that is expected will enter our building as we focus on Kindness and caring that is here at our building with our school family. We work hard to spread positivity and create ripples of compassion in our classroom each day with all of our students and staff. That no matter the challenges we may encounter in the day. Remember that tomorrow is a new day where we do leave behind any negativity and we look  forward to the openness and caring that we all deserve. Building connections.

NOTE FROM our schools

Well it is a fact February and January have something in common  the ....COLD.

This month has been challenging right at the start. Cold weather has stopped buses from running yet students are here to learn and to join us for our lunch menu. Some of the offerings this month are week one Spaghetti-meatballs and garlic bread per a’la Greg; Week two short week so no menu meal; week three chicken Fajita with Rachel and week four Sweet and sour pork per our Nicki.

Each month for our Outreaches there are often presentations, community information updates and learning opportunities that are peer interactions and fun as well.

At BOS this month there is a presentation by- Dragonfly Bonnyville on dating violence.  Our Gaby who joins BOS each month with activities and positive topics supports many aspects of self care and reflection at BOS.  Each of our outreach sites are busy with

there is nothing better than 1000 piece mushroom puzzle  that is challenging, so for those needing an in class break there is a  time to work on this.  Of course do not tell them I have removed a few pieces.

Remember that all of our outreach schools offer many ways for staff and students to interact. whether it is module support. physical and emotional wellbeing. Guest presenters, and social skill building and positive peer interactions. Not to positive  if they realize that there are missing puzzle pieces then it may not be too positive.
