Hello, to all our families and students.
Halloween is over, spooky decorations are put away for another year and the tricker treaters are still eating the goodies.
Now it is almost halfway through November and one of our highlights was preparing and participating in our Remembrance day ceremonies. [Remembrance Day will be honored in our schools with a video and a discussion. There will the time for silence an opportunity for all to acknowledge and remember) There is discussion on history and the challenges and recognition of those who served out country in countries so far from home. Remembering those who did not come home and those that did go home to their families, communities and friends. No one is ever the same and with gratitude and sadness that for our country today is safe that so many lives were changed.
Even with the time change ( which I love as I can leave home with more light to see in) November graces us with its presence, With a focus on appreciation of others which Remembrance day remind us.
At BOS we are always on a journey to encourage fostering a positive connections and relationships with each other in school to prepare ourselves in relationships out side of school. Just a small part of knowing how to interact and have conversations in so many situations to prepare us when we move forward to further education, employment and social settings.
This month, We will engage encourage interactions with peers doing activities. for some it is strategic board games and some that speed is the goal and leave others in the dust.
Reminder, that we take time to consider and reflect on the magic of building meaningful bonds (in and out of school) that can enrich our lives, from friendships that light up our days to family ties that provide unwavering support, and beyond. Let us begin nurturing and recognizing healthy connections, enhancing our well-being and spreading positivity throughout our lives.
We always like to ask this question each month did you enjoy our last BLOG andis there anything we could add or change. So look below and contact your counsellor of the school your teen attends.
