Embrace the attitude of gratitude in October and join our schools in cultivating well-being!
With the help of our Student Advocacy Counsellors and Wellness Coaches, students throughout Northern Lights will be learning about the impact gratitude can have on their mental health and everyone around them. From making gratitude jars to doing random acts of kindness students will also have the opportunity to put what they are learning into action.
If you are looking at ways to focus on gratitude at home with your family, here are some resources that may help:
- Gratitude Dice Game
Roll your way to gratitude with this fun game designed by our Successful Families, Successful Kids team. - 5-Day Gratitude Challenge
Check out these five exercises from TED that encourage you to find new ways to acknowledge and express gratitude. - Gratitude is My Superpower: A Children's Book about Giving Thanks and Practicing Positivity by Alicia Ortego
Our Student Advocacy Counsellors will be sharing more information about what students are learning about gratitude later this month. Keep an eye out for their Counsellor Connection blog!
